Hello friends and partners,
Finally I'm back from surfing in Bali and the awesome trip to New Zealand.... the winter is already on the way in Europe
and there is big news in the freeride world:
After years of hard work, the organizers of the Verbier Xtreme and the newly founded Pro Freeriders Board have proudly announced the start of the first ever Freeride World Tour for Freeriders and Freeskiers for the winter of 2007/08.
The tour has 5 events in February and March:
Mammoth Mountain - USA, Sochi - Russia, Tignes - France, a mobile event in europe and the final in Verbier - Switzerland
The top 14 boarders and skiers of the freeriding world are invited to these events, with qualification possibilities at the world qualifying series. At the end, in late march 2008 we will see the freeride world champion!
So my mission will be to ride the qualifying series, which is more or less at the same stops as the world tour, and kick ass!
The new world ranking list has also been released, showing me as 27th of the world! After one year of competing, I am stoked!
So........goals for the season? to overtake 26 people!
