Rudi Kröll - Seegrube and Westendorf

Skyline Expression Session, Seegrube, Innsbruck

On Thursday 1^st March I went up at the Seegrube to join the Skyline Expression Session. Instead of the superpipe they built a nice line up there. The weather was not perfect but it was nice relaxed riding. I did a nice Backside 180.

Ästhetiker ShredDown, Westendorf

On Saturday 3^rd March I went to Westendorf to the Ästhetiker Shred Down. It was such a crazy weather that day! Wet Snowfall, windy, foggy and sunshine! I was invited for the final but in case of having already a spot for the Wängl Tängl and some pain in shoulder and ankle I gave my spot to the next one to qualify for the final. But I still was riding during the final and just sneaked a little between the final riders.

Check The Ripper, Seegrube, Innsbruck

Really funny contest! It’s a combination of freeride and freestyle to determine the best allround Snowboarder. Normally they have a run where freeride and freestyle is combined but this year the snow conditions forced them to make a separate freeride part on Friday 2^nd March and the freestyle part on Sunday 4^th March. I was on 3^rd position after the freeride and 16 seconds behind Uli Kestenholz. So I was kind of the only one with the chance to catch up with Uli. At the freestyle part they judge the slopestyle and convert the points into time. So 25, 4 seconds was the maximum to get. I did three runs with fs9, cab7 and cab9 where I earned 22, 5 seconds. Uli Kestenholz earned 9, 5 points. How good are you in math?

16s + 9,5s= 25,5s and minus my 22,5s = 3 seconds

The deal was that the best Snowboarder and the best Skier are winning a 200 Motocross bike each. So I got 2^nd and missed the Motocross for 3 fu….. seconds. DAMNNNNNNNNN!

Anyway, I am back in Mayrhofen right now and try to get my shoulder, knee and ankle better.

It’s starting to be summer here, so I hang out with my injured bro CK which fractured his knee cap twice and ripped his Quadrizeps sinew. His going to be out for 6 months!!
